Valerie has a passion for service to others
As an Assemblywoman, Valerie Vainieri Huttle has proudly served New Jersey’s 37th Legislative District for fifteen years. A dedicated public servant and advocate, she is running for State Senate to continue the fight for bold, progressive change in Trenton.
A funeral director by profession, she sees families during the most difficult times in their lives. Valerie has seen firsthand the fatal effects of addiction, domestic violence, suicide and gun violence. This is what has guided Valerie’s philosophy as a policy maker in Trenton.
Valerie served on the Bergen County Board of Commissioners (formerly Chosen Freeholders) where she broke barriers as Bergen’s first female chair. Valerie led the county’s efforts to improve oversight of Bergen Regional Medical Center. She also spearheaded initiatives to improve access to services for individuals experiencing homelessness.
As District 37’s Assemblywoman, Valerie is recognized year after year as one of Trenton’s most effective leaders. Valerie works tirelessly to enact change because she cares deeply about our communities. Valerie is a tireless advocate, she is dedicated to giving a voice to the voiceless.
